Marin's Class Goes to the Hebrew Home

March 18, 2008

No pictures, but I wanted to post this letter that was sent home today from Marin's teacher to all the parents in her class.

Dear Parents,

Tell your children how wonderful they are!!We walked to the Hebrew Home today with paper crowns on our heads and little packages in our hands. The children had decorated the containers and made hamentashen to put inside. They also put one box of raisins and one hershey kiss inside. We were escorted to a room upstairs in the Smith Kogod building. As the residents of the Hebrew Home were brought into the room the children took turns giving their packages away until they had all given away a shalach manot package. We sang some songs, including twinkle, twinkle, aleph bet, chag purim, oh say can you see, and some songs that I think were original solos, perhaps even composed on the spot. The residents loved it!! Then we said Happy Purim to everyone, and we walked happily back to the JCC.The children did a very big mitzvah today. They are truly shining stars.

Sincerely,Elise
